The 4th China Smart City International Expo 2018, jointly hosted by the China Center for Urban Development, the Shenzhen Government and Smart Cities Development Alliance, organized by the Hong Kong Software Industry Association and supported by Certizen Limited, was successfully held at Shenzhen on August 21-23, 2018.

The expo focused on “Digital China and Intelligent Society”, comprising four exhibition areas that featured the achievements of new smart cities, solutions and applications, smart industries and future technologies, and future lives and interactive experiences. The expo not only aimed to display the latest achievements but also to establish a platform for communication and cooperation between enterprises and scientific research groups around the world, according to Feng Kui, Secretary General of the China Center for Urban Development. More than 400 enterprises and about 100,000 participants were invited to attend the expo.

Officials and business elites from the New York Bay Area, San Francisco Bay Area, Tokyo Bay Area and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area attended the forums to share their opinions about international models for constructing bay areas as well as strategic development in the construction of smart cities. Certizen demonstrated its well-known interconnecting electronic signing certification platform in the Greater Bay Area and its benefits to the public via display.

Mr Man Ho, General Manager of Certizen Limited joined the open ceremony and exchanged experience with Cambodia Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, Securities and Exchange Commission of Cambodia (SECC) and Cambodia's Smart City Consortium. Other important guests included Dr. Li Tie, Principal and Chief Economist in the Reform and Development of Chinese Cities and Small Towns, Dr. Hon Elizabeth Quat, BBS, JP, Founder and Honorary President of Smart City Consortium, Dr. Winnie Tang, JP, Founder and Honorary President of Smart City Consortium, Mr. Kenny Chien, President of Hong Kong Software Industry Association, Mr. Eric Yeung, President of Smart City Consortium, Mr. Howard Cheng, Chief Operating Officer of Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company and Ms. Wu Zihui, Deputy Director, Smart City Technology Platform, Information and Communication Technology Group, Hong Kong Science and Technology Park.
